Children's Book: Handwriting and Editing the text
I created my own font for the children's book I'm writing. This is because I wanted the text to be clear but also playful, this was to fit with the theme of the book and to match the illustrations. This is my first attempt at creating a font so the outcome could be unsuccessful.
As well as the first font I created I wanted to try to make the font more playful with vines and jagged letters to see if it could look interesting. However, when I converted it in to the font, the vines I added on each letter didn't look as defined as I previously made them. For example; The letters I had created weren't as fun and some look completely different to my original lettering for example 'e''o' 'z' and 'f'.
Because I wanted to make the word count in my story lower, I started rewriting each individual page to see how the words would fit. I also tried out a different font for the book in 2. Although the words were more clear I do like the idea of using my own typography, so I will develop that more in the future.
Here are a few more pages I started to change the wordings for.
