Illustrated Trail: Foldout map- Outcome

Image
Here's a few photos showing the final outcome of my maps. I'm very happy with how they turned out. I think the bright blue mixed with the yellow-gold looks great and it really focuses your attention on the map as a hole.  The front cover looks just as effective. I'm really happy with the overall colouring and the perspective. However, I think during the printing process you do lose some definition in the background.

Illustrated Trail: New Signs and Vinyl Stickers

These are the signs I have recreated to a bigger size. This is so that when I print them off A2, they won't lose the quality. Every illustration you see on these signs have been re drawn to look sharper. I used a new technique while creating these and I think you can definitely tell the difference between these and my original signs.    I also decided to re draw my life size cut out of Perseus, this is mainly because I think he could be more interactive with my work. So to make him more interactive I drew him with a telescope and looking up at my artwork.

Children's Book: Vinyl Sticker designs

For the first of the vinyl stickers I want to have on display for my degree show, I knew I wanted Tan and Hornbill together, so for this spot illustration I took out the background and added extra detail on the ants. However, I did keep the bushes in place. This was because without them it looked sparse and 2D.  Similar to the previous spot illustration, I took out the background and made the exclamations around rhinos feet yellow. This is so that it would be clear- if I kept it white they would blend into the wall.  For the top section of my wall, I will be adding in vines, Tan and Hornbill just to make sure none of my work looks sparse or out of place.  Here's an example of how the characters would look. I think this will look really effective above my artwork and I am excited to see the outcome!
