Illustrated Trail: Designing the Leaflet/Map

I needed to start designing the leaflet for the trail. I originally planned on calling it "The Legend of Perseus and Medusa" and then changed it to just "Perseus and Medusa" but when creating the leaflet I changed it again to "The trail of Perseus and Medusa" this acts as a play on 'tale' and altogether just sounds nicer than Legend. 

Trentham Estates new branding is using a turquoise blue or a purple so when illustration the characters I tested them on both the purple and turquoise. I ended up preferring the turquoise.

However, I could use this purple for the separate leaflet. 

Next, I started to add to the background to make the leaflet less plain, so I included columns to relate to Greek architecture and I also included buildings found in the Estate to link the both together. I also included swirls in the background but I think they look too much. 

So, I decided to include the swirls but use less of them. Overall, the cover for this trail is bright and eye-catching. To complete this I will need to create the back of the leaflet and also inside include the side characters and questions that are throughout the trail.
