Childrens Book: changing colour scheme
Here is my finished character turn around. I decided to do this because I realised as I was drawing each illustration. There was a small change made in each. This has been incredibly helpful going forward and I intend on creating a back profile too.
When revisiting my first finished illustration this semester (the cover). I realised it was all green and hardly used a variation of colour. So added some subtle highlights and blue and yellow tones. This created more depth in the image and I intend to create these same changes with other illustrations.
Here's what the cover looks like with my new and improved version of Tan. I think this looks so much better and has a happy and brighter feel to it overall.
Here's some changes I made to the second page spread. I think this looks so much brighter. And more impactful. I could add a vignette over the image to show the feeling of the orangutan better. But that can be changed easily.
Here's another change I made to a previous illustration. As I have previously said, the new way I draw the Orangutans looks more clean and precise.
